Counting Vertices

To see how many vertices the whole scene contains, use the Summary Info choice from the file pull-down menu. Its the Mesh Totals that you see here:

To see how many vertices a particular object has, within the scene, choose the vertices sub-modifier of the editable mesh, select all of the vertices for that object and the total shows in the selection roll-out.
